After the great success of last year's re:pair Festival, Tina Zickler is once again designing an opulent program for this year's second edition. The aim of the re:pair Festival is to enhance and revive the traditional culture of repair.
This year, the focus of the program is on FASHION, because the textile industry is the second dirtiest industry in the world after the oil industry. FAST FASHION is responsible for high resource consumption, massive CO2 emissions, exploitative working conditions and extreme environmental pollution - especially in Asia, but also in Africa.
The fact is: the less and better quality clothing we consume, the better it is for our environment. Because FAST FASHION is fueling the climate crisis!

Nach dem großen Erfolg des letztjährigen re:pair Festival konzipiert Tina Zickler heuer für die zweite Ausgabe wieder ein opulentes Programm. Ziel des re:pair Festival ist es, die traditionsreiche Kultur der Reparatur aufzuwerten und wiederzubeleben.
In diesem Jahr liegt der Schwerpunkt des Programms auf Fashion, denn die Textilindustrie ist nach der Ölwirtschaft die zweitdreckigste Branche weltweit. Fast Fashion ist für einen hohen Ressourcenverbrauch, massiven CO2-Ausstoß, ausbeuterische Arbeitsbedingungen und extreme Umweltverschmutzungen verantwortlich – vor allem in Asien, aber auch in Afrika.
Fakt ist: Je weniger und qualitativ hochwertigere Kleidung wir konsumieren, desto besser ist es für unsere Umwelt. Denn Fast Fashion heizt die Klimakrise an!
